Came Saturday lunchtime a party of 16 (pre-booked) amazing food, I had the minute steak & fries, which was lovely. Loved the salad of rocket & parmesan shavings. Everyone enjoyed their their meal. Lovely atmosphere & attentive staff. Returned Monday lunchtime before returning home after a weekend in n Sidmouth. Waiting for my Husband to pick me up. The staff were lovely, checking in on me & making sure I was OK. Really sweet of them. Do drop by, if in Sidmouth.

Had an evening meal. Great friendly service, good quality food at good prices. We sat outside as it was so busy inside. Hot water bottle & blanket provided for my wife, who was kept warm. Definitely recommend here if you are in the area

I visited Sidmouth for the first time last weekend with 2 family members. We received a brilliant welcome on arrival- staff were cheerful, attentive, well informed and helpful. Our rooms were beautiful, spacious and spotless. The bar and restaurant both had a lovely atmosphere and the range of food and drinks on offer was incredible. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel .

Scrupulously clean bedrooms, bathrooms and Crisp, white sheets. Warm welcome, whether you had arrived for the first time, or back, after a walk. Beautiful breakfast, with an array of fruit juices, yoghurt, granola, pumpkin and sunflower seeds, cereal boxes, fruits of the forest compote, chopped melons, abundance of mini croissants, cooked selection of breakfast, made to order, porridge, toast, jams, marmalade, teas and coffee, all for an incredible £15. Dukes hot chocolate was enough to feed an army, with overflowing whipped cream, Flake and hundreds of marshmallows. After a late dinner, with large portions, I went to my bedroom, where the radiator TRV seems to be stuck on off. A nice young man, who was busy at the front desk, bending over, came upstairs, like a shot, at my daughter’s suggestion, tried to fix it and then produced an electric oil heater, on wheels, at the drop of a hat, to cover me for the weekend and then a plumber arrived first thing on Monday, whilst I was out. They were flexible with check out time and even held onto our baggage, in a safe room, until we returned, to leave for our train, in the mid afternoon.

Had three meals at Dukes between Xmas and New Year, two inside and one outside. Food was very good and staff were very courteous and friendly. Outside tables had plenty of room, with cushions, hot-water bottles and blankets available to combat the chilly temperature. Staff took orders at the table during very busy times which removed any need to queue at the bar. Inside in the upper bar was warm and cosy and dogs are welcome inside except the dining room, which seems sensible to me.

Wonderful meal. Customer service was second to none. Fish was beautiful. Couldn't eat all. So took some away to eat later. I'm never disappointed when I visit. Friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Even when I asked to have the music turned down a little as we were right underneath a speaker. Thank you so much for a lovely & enjoyable evening.

Great pub with rooms, very attentive staff. Haddock sandwich was amazing, very large, big enough for two to share, nachos were fab to, excellent Guinness on tap, very busy but very accommodating, a must if you are in Sidmouth.
